Cecily strong
Cecily Legler Strong was born on the 8th of February 1984. She is an American comedian and actress. Strong is well-known because she was a Saturday Night Live cast member between 2012 until 2022. Strong has the longest tenure of a female member of the cast during the course of the show's history. Strong was performing the improv show at The Second City, Chicago in the year she graduated from CalArts. She was employed by SNL. She currently has a starring role on the Apple TV+ musical comedy series Schmigadoon! (2021-present) and also co-produces.
Her other role includes voice-overs on The Awesomes (2013-2015), supporting roles in films like Ghostbusters, The Meddler, and The Female Brain. She hosted the White House Correspondents' Dinner in 2015. Her first novel, This Will All End Soon Soon It was published by Random House in 2021.
As a result of her work on Saturday Night Live, she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the 72nd and the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards.
Early life
Strong was born in Springfield Illinois and grew up in Oak Park (an inner-ring suburb of Chicago). She is the daughter Penelope Strong and William "Bill", who both served as Associated Press bureau chiefs and at the time of 2013, ran their own public relations firm. Penny Legler Strong, a nurse practitioner who has worked extensively in hospitals of the region has retired. Strong's parents divorced. Strong watched SNL together with her mother as when she was a young child. She would reenact sketches with her companion and then watch the old SNL commercials on VHS. "I had a tape filled with the best commercials and would wear it every single day." She has said that she was influenced by the late Phil Hartman.
